Guppy Swim Academy is a program that:

• Has the best instructors. This doesn't just mean the latest qualifications, our instructors have the right mix of presence and sensitivity, and can hold the confidence and attention of the class, additionally who understand and support the goals of the organization.
• Gives the children or students what they want. Support and encouragement, a happy and safe learning environment, and a feeling of satisfaction and reward when they achieve something.
• Recognizes that the client is normally the parent as much as the child. The parent pays for the lesson and expects results, but don't confuse real results with awards and badges. A certificate that has not been truly earned is pretty hollow if the skills are not there and the child struggles or loses confidence in a neighborhood or hotel pool on holiday.
• Applies consistent standards. In practice adopting a recognized award scheme and structuring the lessons to develop and reinforce all the elements of each award stage, with regular and careful testing to make sure the awards are only given once the swimmer has truly acquired the necessary skills.
• Continues to learn and develop with the program.
